Layla

Layla is from Brazil and has called Melbourne/Naarm her home for almost 10 years.

With a background in dance and martial arts, movement has been Layla’s primary therapeutic modality and expressive outlet. This led her toward a deepening desire to combine movement with therapy as a career. After much study and integration, Layla works as an Holistic Movement Teacher and Therapist who specialises in nervous system health and freedom for mind, body and spirit.

The introduction of Yoga changed Layla’s life; her breath and her perspective of what it means to be alive and she became a certified Yoga Teacher in 2018. Layla specialises in a gentle Vinyasa and embodied Yin yoga styles.

Layla works through a trauma informed and somatic (body-based practice) lens, and breath is the foundation of all her teachings - an invitation into a subtle form of movement and a doorway into a deeper sense of awareness and ease in the body.

Layla combines modern neuroscience with ancient practices, creating space for guests to return to their innate state of interconnectedness and healing.

Layla’s Rest and Restore Practices:

  • Cooking food for family and friends
